About Northwood Highland Cattle

It all started with a Christmas request!

Young Tommo made it clear to Santa that he "Did not want a pony for Christmas"...... So Santa, being an adaptable fellow, bought him 4 little Highland cows instead. From those little beginnings, we slowly and carefully bred and traded to build our herd of Hairy Coos.

Our difference is in our numbers!

In an enterprise where small herds are the norm, the size of our herd allows us to let nature lead the way, giving the full diversity of the Highland genetic spectrum an opportunity to shine.

Some colours are rare, and a smaller breeder might be lucky to see one such animal in a lifetime - but here - we get to experience them all and offer these potentials to others.

Our goal is to establish ourselves as a reputable, reliable, and trusted seller of quality stock, offering unique opportunities to get into this extremely fulfilling enterprise.
